A clubsport net is one of the most striking interior upgrades: it brings a motorsport look into the car and visually separates the cabin from the rear. But not every kit is the same. This guide explains the differences between quick release, carbon strut, carbon double strut and universal net – and what to check before you buy.

The four designs at a glance

1. Quick-release kit: fitted fast, removed fast

The quick-release kit combines a 50 mm full-carbon tube with CNC-milled, black anodised aluminium brackets. Strut and net can be fitted and removed without tools in under 10 seconds. The kit for the VW Golf 7 GTI / R mounts to the original fixing points, and the rear bench does not have to be removed. Ideal if you still want to use your car every day.

2. Carbon strut kit: for builds without a rear bench

Kits with a carbon strut are made for cars with the rear bench removed. On the kit for the Audi A6 / S6 / RS6 Avant C8, for example, the strut mounts to the original seat mounts. Included are the carbon strut, brackets with mounting plates, bolts and hardware, and the net in your colour of choice.

3. Carbon double strut: the boldest look

The double strut makes the strongest visual statement but takes a little more work. On the BMW E46 Compact it mounts to the original rear bench brackets at the top; at the bottom, mounting plates are each fixed to the body with two M8 rivet nuts, which requires drilling.

4. Universal net: for individual projects

For vehicles without a dedicated kit there is the universal clubsport net measuring 900 × 400 mm. Its integrated loops fit tubes up to 50 mm in diameter and two bungee cords are included. Strut and vehicle-specific hardware are not included – you plan the mounting to suit your setup.

Checklist before you buy

  • Check model series and body style: an E46 Coupé needs a different kit than an E46 Touring or Compact.
  • Compare fixing points: do the described mounting points match your car?
  • Rear bench: staying in or coming out? That decides the design.
  • Drilling or not: stated in the product description.
  • Pick a colour: 12 net colours at no extra charge – from Stealth Black and Performance Red to Lime Green.

Not sure? Send model, year and a photo of the fixing points to info@nw-shop.ch – we will help you choose.
